Crowds have gathered and tributes left at the gates of Windsor Castle to Queen Elizabeth II, who died at Balmoral Castle on 8 September, 2022. So divisive is Prince Harry’s wife that some critics even seemed to have a problem with the fact that she wanted to hold on to a bouquet of flowers given to her by a well-wisher. Prince Harry kept a protective arm around or near his wife for much of the time, clearly aware that at least in some sections of the crowd she was not a welcome presence. The Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex did not appear to interact much, if at all, during the public meet-and-greet. One moment seemed to draw particular interest towards the end of the so-called “Long Walk”, when the two couples were about to go back to their cars. While the show of unity surprised many, body language experts, lip readers and the general public alike had a field day dissecting every moment - and movement - the “Fab Four” made.
